New years eve

1. Suspicious looking cannon. Thoughts were maybe it is a disused fireworks unit? Possibly still used?
2. Floral arrangements
3. Stage prep. There seems to be lots that will happen tonight including fireworks, a flash mob, and various other shows. Its meant to be packed
4. Balloon sellers. The police passed once and they all ran around the corner... Im not entirely sure why...
5. The central roundabout on the north edge of the lake seems very quiet today. Ive never seen so few people about.
6. Hugo enjoying a highland coffee non-alcoholic mint mojito
7. Le thai to fountain

Today is chinese new years eve, or what the vietnamese call 'tet'. Its quite quiet as many shops have closed down for the week, and the excitement builds for the big show tonight. The temperature has dropped drastically today- yesterday it was nearly 27 and today its only 16.
